Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold 2, its third foldable phone.
While February’s Galaxy Z Flip was far more successful than the original Galaxy Fold, there was still an appetite for a full-sized phone that can also be a fully-functional tablet.
With the Galaxy Z Fold 2, it aims to provide that. Notable upgrades from the original include an all-new design, complete with 6.2in phone display and tiny punch-hole notch when opened into a tablet. There are also some new colour options, while Samsung will hope it’s much more durable than the original.
However, we don’t know a number of specifics on the Galaxy Z Fold 2, including pricing.
How to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2
Unfortunately, unlike the other devices announced at Unpacked, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is not available for pre-order until 1 September, with no confirmed release date.
However, you can pre-register in the UK, while US customers can reserve one now. This doesn’t commit you to anything
Samsung has confirmed that all new Galaxy products will also be available via ‘select partners’, although no further information has been provided.
We’ll update this article as soon as more retailers and concrete release information is confirmed. In the meantime, check out our full guide to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
