Where to Buy the Zelda Skyward Sword Joy-Con Set in the UK

Nintendo is bringing an HD remaster of Wii Zelda game Skyward Sword to the Switch this summer, and alongside the game the company will release a pair of limited edition Joy-Con controllers modelled after Link’s iconic sword and shield.

Special Joy-Con designs have been pretty rare so far, and usually come attached to a console, rather than available on their own – so understandably franchise fans are pretty excited about the upcoming release.

It helps that the design is very slick. The ornate controllers are each modelled after the Master Sword and Hylian Shield from the game, to reflect the way that you’ll be able to use each to control that respective weapon using the new game’s updated motion controls.

Look closely and you’ll also spot a pretty dashing purple and turquoise wrist strap for each, which would probably look pretty great attached to almost any Joy-Con colour.

While it’s been difficult to pre-order the new controllers from UK retailers, we’re now starting to see glimpses of availability. Here, we’re tracking where you can pre-order the Joy-Cons in the UK, and where you can buy them after the official launch.

Where can I pre-order the Zelda Joy-Con?

The Skyward Sword Edition is now available to pre-order from Amazon, for £69.99, though it’s still not yet available directly from the official Nintendo UK store.

It’s possible we might start seeing pre-order availability from retailers like Game and ShopTo, though we can’t at the moment. We will update this article as soon as we see stock elsewhere.

You can pre-order the Skyward Sword HD game, however, both from Nintendo eShop and from Amazon for £49.99, though Argos’s pre-order price is £44.99 with free delivery.

When will the Skyward Sword Joy-Cons launch?

The new controllers are set to hit store shelves on 16 July, the exact same day as Skyward Sword HD hits the console.
