Where to buy the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G: Free Galaxy Buds+

Samsung has officially released its latest range of A-series budget phones in the A52, A52 5G and the A72, following its Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event on 17 March. Of the three phones, the A52 5G is the only handset to launch in the UK. You can buy it now from Samsung.

The Galaxy A51 was Samsung’s most popular phone last year, so it’s no surprise Samsung has ramped things up with the A52. Read more about the launch here, or if you don’t mind sitting through the whole show, you can watch it again here.

Despite an asking price under £500, the A52 5G packs a 120Hz refresh rate on a 6.5in Super AMOLED display – all powered by a 4,500mAh battery that Samsung promises should last two days, thanks to “adaptive power-saving”. This battery-saving feature intuitively calibrates how much power is burnt through the day depending on your usage habits.

The phone’s “Fun Mode” (developed with Snapchat) also integrates AR lenses right into the camera, which leads with a 64Mp sensor on the back. Check out the full spec sheet for the A52 5G in this handy explainer.

Here, we’re looking at how much the A52 5G costs and where you can buy it on contract and SIM-free. Not all retailers have announced availability yet, but we’re tracking them all here.

How much does the A52 5G cost?

The A52 5G is available with 6GB RAM and in two storage configurations. Prices are as follows:

6GB RAM/128GB – £399
6GB RAM/256GB – £419

You can also add up to 1TB more with a microSD. The phones will be available in four colours: black, violet, white, and blue in a “soft haze” finish.

Where to buy the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

You can buy the Galaxy A52 directly from Samsung where it qualifies for up to £150 off with trade-in. Right now only the 128GB version looks to be available. We will update this article if that changes.

Elsewhere, Amazon has the 128GB option listed for pre-orders.

While not all retailers have the A52 5G available just yet, we suspect the following places should offer the A52, as they have carried the A51 previously:

Mobiles.co.uk currently has the A52 5G available on contract via Vodafone and iD mobile. Vodafone plans include a free pair of Galaxy Buds+ worth £129.

You can order directly from Vodafone too and get the Galaxy Buds+ bundle. Vodafone’s plans starting at £42 per month and £29 upfront for 6GB data.

Contracts directly from iD Mobile start at £21.99 per month and £19.99 upfront for 5GB data.

Though they haven’t confirmed, we suspect the following network carriers will also carry the A52 5G, as they’ve offered the A51 before:

We’ll be updating this article as more retailers are announced, so stay tuned!
