How To Watch Glastonbury 2021

Whilst we can’t physically visit Worthy Farm this year due to the ongoing pandemic, Glastonbury 2021 is still going ahead – it’s just going to look a bit different this year.

The good news is that you will be able to tune into some of the most popular bands and artists right from the comfort of your own home. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know to watch Glastonbury 2021. You can also check out our article on how to watch The Oscars.

When is Glastonbury 2021?

Glastonbury will be taking place on Saturday 22 May 2021. It will be held at the Worthy Farm, and the iconic Pyramid Stage will be there.

The festival will be more of a lengthy concert this year. Rather than taking place over a few days, it will be just five hours long, and there will be no audience – it will be a digital showcase. If you’d like to know how to tune in, take a look below.

How to watch the Glastonbury 2021 livestream

If you want full access to Glastonbury 2021, then you’ll need to buy a ticket for the official livestream.

You can buy these from the Glastonbury website, and the prices are as follows:

£20 (UK)
€23 (Europe)
$27.50 (US)
AUD$35 (Australia)

You can also purchase a ticket with an official poster, though this doubles the cost of the pass.

Making the livestream a paid event is something that has never been done before by Glastonbury and may be a disappointment for some fans who were hoping to tune in via the TV as they have done in previous years. But the question is, will the BBC and other channels broadcast it?

Will Glastonbury 2021 be on TV?

As far as we’re aware, no. You see, usually most acts would be available on BBC channels. However, the date and time of this concert just so happens to clash with the Eurovision Grand Final – something we can’t see BBC One giving up.

In addition, a paid livestream isn’t something that the festival has done before, and giving away performances for free on TV would seem a little redundant.

It may be that highlights could air on TV channels at a later date – once we know more we’ll update this article.

Who is performing at Glastonbury 2021?

Those confirmed to perform at Glastonbury this year include Coldplay, Damon Albarn, HAIM, IDLES, Jorja Smith, Kano, Michael Kiwanuka, Wolf Alice, and DJ Honey Dijon. There will also be a number of ‘unannounced surprise performances’.
