How to Watch Asus CES 2021 Press Conference Live Stream

As has been the case since 1967, CES will kick off the calendar year in style, with a host of new tech products being announced. The big difference in 2021 is that the event is all-digital due to the coronavirus pandemic, with hundreds of companies streaming their press conferences live.

Among the most high-profile is Asus, with the Taiwanese company becoming a regular in Las Vegas over the last few years. Here’s all you need to know about its presence at CES 2021.

When is the Asus CES 2021 press conference?

What to expect from Asus at CES 2021

Asus manufactures a wide range of hardware ever year, but laptops and 2-in-1s are its most popular products. As such, expect that to be the main focus of the company’s CES press conference.

The event subtitle ‘Be Ahead’ gives little away, although a teaser video uploaded to the Asus YouTube channel all but confirms one of the new products we’ll see. The 9-second clip heavily references ‘Duo’, so we’d be shocked if we didn’t see a successor to the ZenBook Duo. That device’s key selling point is a second screen under the main display, which can be used for anything from split-screen multitasking to an emoji keyboard. It’s not clear what sort of upgrades Asus could bring, but expect Intel 11th-gen chips at the very least.

It’s likely to continue to command a high asking price though, so we’re also hoping for new additions to the more affordable VivoBook line. The likes of the VivoBook S14 has proven that Asus can produce a capable consumer device that doesn’t break the bank.

Elsewhere, it’s highly likely that we’ll see updates to its Republic of Gamers (ROG) gaming hardware. A successor to the ROG Phone 3 is unlikely at CES, but new Zephyrus and Strix laptops could be in the offing. New monitors and desktop PCs could also be revealed.

The only way to know for sure is to tune into Asus’ press conference on 13 January.
