If the brand’s name leaves you scratching your head, that’s not surprising. Fiido only launched in 2016, though now sells affordable e-bikes across China, Singapore, Italy, France, and of course the UK. Its Fiido M1, the off-road e-bike with a tempting price tag certainly made an impression on us, receiving a solid 4/5 stars in our review.
Following up from the M1, the D11 is the latest to join the Fiido’s ebike line-up, after having raised over £847K this summer through the crowdfunding site Indiegogo.
People are rightly excited because the D11 has lots going for it. First off, it’s lightweight at 12.9kg, making it one of the lightest e-bikes on the market. It also has an impressive 100km (around 60 miles) maximum range, thanks to a 11.6Ah removable battery, which fits into the seat tube.
You can read our review of the Fiido D11, where it scored 4/5 stars for being a great option for commuters.
While commuting may have been put on hold for many once again, as a result of the government’s new guidelines, e-bikes remain a great, environmentally-friendly alternative to public transport if you do need to quickly get to and from places. And yes, they are perfectly legal to use in the UK.
