Amazon’s biggest sales event of the year will start on Monday, 21 June this year, and end midnight 22 June. The two-day event promises Amazon Prime subscribers thousands of discounts site-wide, including early access to limited-time Lighting Deals.
You’ll be able to see all Amazon Prime Day offers on its official Prime Day 2021 page.
A Prime membership costs £7.99/US$12.99 per month or £79/$119 a year. Non-members can also enjoy Prime Day offers by signing up for a 30-day free trial.
Apart from discounts on Prime Day itself, membership benefits include early access to deals through the year, access to Prime Video, Twitch (i.e. Prime Gaming), Prime Music, same-day grocery delivery, and of course, free next-day delivery.

While Amazon hasn’t announced what will be on offer on Prime Day yet, we expect to see discounts across its own devices, such as the Amazon Echo smart speakers, Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, Fire TV devices, eero mesh routers, and Blink security cameras.
Amazon launched an upgraded Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 5 on 12 May – both of which are available to pre-order ahead of the 9 June release date. It’s possible we might see discounts on these devices on Prime Day too.

Apart from Amazon devices, we expect Amazon will also have offers on its services such as Audible, Kindle Unlimited, and Amazon Music Unlimited, which now includes Hi-Res streaming for free for members.
Last year, Amazon offered three months of free access to both Audible and Kindle Unlimited for new customers. The services both cost £7.99 otherwise, though until 31 May customers can get two months of Kindle Unlimited for free.
Outside of Amazon devices and services, we expect to see massive deals on Fitbit and Apple devices, and a push towards buying from small businesses. Last year, Amazon offered customers who spent £10 on its third-party sellers a £10 voucher to spend on Prime Day. See our major predictions for Prime Day 2021.
This will be the first year Prime Day will happen in June. The event typically takes place in July, but was postponed to October last year due to the pandemic.
